some of the more pressing issues facing china are universal. these include environmental degradation, over population and the effects of globalization.
to overcne some of the things we need to implement include:
enhancing our scientific and industrial technologies in such areas as it, bio- tech, ai and cybernetics.
further develop public infrastructure in under developed regions.
promote education reform at all levels.
introduce sustainable development initiatives.
the implementation of free trade agreement between china and asean.
the benefit to china in introducing these initiatives will be significant and far-reaching. it is important to realize that these initiatives need to filter down through all elements of the society in china. for instance, cutting edge technologies and intellectual properties; the development of e-cnmerce based economy; an education system that encourages innovation and creativity; increased foreign investment; higher living standards; more efficient use of natural resources.
it is important for us to realize these reforms are both essential and necessary. these will help china to fulfill its vast and unrealized potential on the world stage. it will also contribute more to a globalized world of the new century.

上个星期五，我们班召开了一次为《守纪律讲诚信》的班会，在班主任吴老师的引导下，我懂得了怎样遵守课堂纪律和课间活动秩序，怎样做一个守纪律讲诚信的小学生;更进一步认识到遵守纪律的必要，诚实守信的重要。
记得我在二年级上学期的一次考试中，有一个词语不会写，正想偷偷地看一眼书，手不自觉地伸到桌下，刚摸到书，一个念头突然冒了出来：这样做是不遵守纪律，也是不诚实的表现，别人会笑话我的。于是，我又端端正正地认真答题了。这次考试我没有得第一，但是我却很开心，这是我的真实成绩，为了这事妈妈还特地表扬了我呢。

本学期即将结束，暑假即将来临。为了让大家过一个安全、健康、有趣的假期，为了保护同学们的人身安全不受伤害。现在我们共同将假期内大家要注意的重点的安全知识再次作以强调。希望同学们在假期里，时时、事事、处处注意安全，确一个快乐的假期。
一、预防溺水事故发生
防溺水必须做到“六不”：不私自下水游泳;不擅自与他人结伴游泳;不在无家长或教师带领的情况下游泳;不到无安全设施、无救援人员的水域游泳;不到不熟悉的水域游泳;不熟悉水性的学生不擅自下水施救。
另外，我们小学生属于未成年人，发现有人溺水，不要下水营救。村子周围的许多水池、水库水况不明，不宜游泳，容易发生溺水事故，禁止到这些地方去玩耍。
二、注意交通安全
大家假期出行尤其要注意交通安全。出行时同学们一定要做到：
