每个人都有梦想，有的人想当老师，有的人想当明星，有的人想当市长。而我却想当一名医生。
医生是一个受人爱戴，受人尊敬的职业，也是一个名副其实的“白衣天使”。而我想当医生这个神圣职业其实是有原因的。
我曾听说过这样一个故事：那是一个傍晚，在一家医院里，一位满脸皱纹，带着眼镜的老医生一边哼着歌，一边整理着自己的东西，准备下班回家。忽然，门外传来了一阵急促的声响。老医生扶了扶眼镜，心想：这都下班了，怎么还有病人来？想着，放慢了整理的速度。“不是有值班的医生吗？”老医生喃喃道，又加快了整理速度。顿时，他想起来了，这时医院急救的声音，只有遇到情况危险的病人才会响起来。而自己也是这家医院最后一位主治医生，其他医生都下班走了。如果自己走了，那病人岂不是让病人白白送命？老医生立刻放下自己手中的东西，飞一样的跑到了门外。
老医生来到门外，只见两个小护士在门外焦急地走来走去，不知所措。因为今天轮到她们值班，所以走的晚一些，没想到却碰到这样一件事。其他医生都走了，他们又不懂得治疗，只能着急地走来走去。见到老医生，她们就像抓到救命草一样，连忙说道：“医生，你快去救救他吧！”老医生安慰道：“好好好，你先别着急，让我先去看看”老医生看了看病人，转过身焦急地说道：“快去准备手术，病人情况非常不妙！”两个护士立刻把病人抬上担架，和医生一起来到手术室。经过十几个小时的抢救，病人终于被老医生年迈的双手从死亡线上拉了回来。医生露出欣慰地一笑，自己却因为过度疲劳累得昏倒在地上······听完这个故事后，眼泪湿润了我的脸颊。当医生这个梦想的种子也在我的心头生根发芽。
为了实现 这个梦想，我花了不少的心血和努力，每天都往书店里钻，一次就看几个小时，常常忘了吃饭，忘了回家。记得有一次，我放学回家时，看见书店里新出了几本关于医学的书，咽了一口唾沫，大步地走了进去。我从书架里找到了那本书，心中一阵狂喜，找了一个地方津津有味地读起书来。一个小时过去了，两个小时过去了，三个小时过去了，几个小时过去了，我仍然沉醉在书的世界里。当我看完第二本书时，一位阿姨走了过来，轻声地对我说：“小朋友，已经很晚了，书店要关门，明天再来看好吗？”我看了看外面，天色已经很晚了，我“啊！”地一声叫了出来，拿起书包，急忙跑回家。
